Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs, objectives, and challenges.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing data sources, formats, and structures.
- Assess hardware infrastructure requirements and provide recommendations for servers, storage, and network components.
- Specify and recommend software components, including database management systems, data integration tools, and analytics platforms.
- Develop end-to-end data solutions that encompass data modeling, database design, data integration, and analytics.
- Design scalable and efficient architectures that meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with security teams to address data protection and access control requirements.
- Provide guidance as a SME to other database team members.
Qualifications
- Active US DoD SECRET security clearance, with the ability to obtain TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance
- Proven experience (3+ years) working as a Data Solutions Architect or in a similar role.
- Experience working in both RHEL and Windows, as well as with additional programming and scripting languages, including infrastructure design and implementation
- Five (5) years of progressive experience with database query languages such as SQL, CQL, OQL, Cypher, DMX, XQuery, SQL/XML, GraphQL, or LINQ
- Prior work history with at least two projects in an organization responsible for implementing, operating, maintaining, and securing a large-scale database
- Three (3) years of progressive experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch, Neo4j, MongoDB, or Apache Cassandra
- Five (5) years of progressive experience with Database Management Systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SQLite
- Experience with cloud-based solutions such as AWS Aurora, AWS DynamoDB, Azure SQL, or Azure Cosmos DB a plus
- Familiarity with implementing and maintaining DISA STIG compliance (database and instance)
- Familiarity with technical controls in the Risk Management Framework, as they apply to SQL and NoSQL databases
- Sensitivity Level: IT-I – Critical Sensitive
- 8570 IAT II level certification, i.e. active Security+ CE
- Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
US Citizen
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
