We are seeking an IT Architect to join our team supporting U.S. CYBERCOM in Ft Meade, Maryland.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide full systems engineering life-cycle support.
- Perform joint architectural/systems engineering analyses to validate that proposed C4 designs can be fully integrated with existing, and target IS enterprise architectures.
- Assist with the development and review of strategies, plans, and activities to integrate capabilities into an operational platform.
- Provide technical solution(s) to engineering problems.
- Assist with maintaining and updating a cyberspace operations program community-level milestone review process and provide recommendations on implementation to ensure collaboration in the identification and coordination of new and proposed C4 investments and initiatives, including Development, Modernization, and/or Enhancement (DME).
- Assist with the design and development of systems and associated enterprise architectures in accordance with the DoD Architectural Framework (DoDAF) and architectural artifacts.
- Design and assess system reliability documents for new secure, remote, backup storage systems to improve the resiliency of the systems for different disaster recovery scenarios.
- Integrate and maintain electronic processes or methodologies to automate the collection, reporting, and resolution of issues to resolve system or technology problems.
- Apply engineering principles for reviewing and analyzing secure systems designs, identifying areas for improvement, developing solutions for resolving secure systems design problems, and develop analysis and recommendation reports.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the requirements team and perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems solutions.
- Perform analyses at all levels of the total system product lifecycle, including HW/SW, concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Perform site surveys, system evaluations, system analysis, architecture, and infrastructure assessments.
- Conduct logical and systematic conversions of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Apply and/or develop advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories, and concepts.
- Assist the Government in planning new programs and recommend technological application programs to accomplish long-range objectives.
- Conduct reviews and provide comments on technical and planning materials provided by Government Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) (e.g., technical documentation, reports, DoD and IC cyber policy/procedures).
- Assist with data collection and analysis, for such things as cyber presentations, speeches, and briefings (Section F, Deliverable 25).
- Maintain metrics (e.g., quarterly, monthly, and annual) on leading security indicators, as required.
- Review cyber-related input from various organizations, consolidate the information into a package, and submit for inclusion into various cyber reports (e.g., Director’s/Commander’s Weekly Activity Report (WAR) and Defend the DoDIN reports)
- Analyze the security details of systems and assist with developing and publishing security processes from formal cybersecurity meetings of every category
- Ensure system engineering designs utilize DevSecOps in accordance with DoD guidance.
- Utilize a test environment to allow for development and testing of engineering solutions to provide interoperability.

- Bachelor of Science (BS)
- Top Secret / SCI with CI Poly
- DoD 8570 IASAE Level II
- CASP+CE
- CISSP
- CSSLP
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active TS/SCI CI Poly
